Job Interview O.O.T.D?

I need your guys opinions! I have an assessment day for a retail management scheme in the coming months and I'm struggling on what to wear. I bought a shirt from Topshop the other week and absolutely love it, so would definitely like to wear it. I've put together this outfit and was wondering if you think it's appropriate for an interview, baring in mind that it's with one of the highstreet's biggest companies and I'm guessing that fashion consciousness will be pretty important.

Are leggings appropriate? The shirt does cover all the lady bits and bottom, so I think it's quite conservative. I struggle finding smart trousers that fit, so any suggestions on where sell well fitting pants would be appreciated!

Also, just ordered my new satchel! (Clearly shopping ban has gone completely out of the window!) But how exciting, a lovely yellow addition to my wardrobe. :)

O.O.T.D. 01/04/12

Hi my lovelies, just a quick outfit of the afternoon. I've been lazing around in my pyjamas most of today and have only just got up to go an meet my boyf from work. Not sure what the plans are yet but probably involves some yummy food and a quick wander in the sunshine.
Here's what I'm wearing!

Jumper from River Island sale.
Skinny jeans from Topshop (I think they're 'Leigh' jeans...)

Curled my hair and just put it up in a clip.

Clutch envelope bag is from Accessorize.

I decided to mix my metals today since my silver watch is in for repairs (boohoo!)

From L-R:
Beaded bracelet from BHS
Links of London Skull Bracelet
Beaded bracelet from Dorothy Perkins
Watch from Guess
Sam Ubhi studded bracelet from ASOS
Beaded bracelet from Dorothy Perkins
Pandora double wrap leather bracelet with Buddha charm

And my other wrist felt a bit bare so I put on my tiny skull bracelet by Iwona Ludyga for a bit of chunky/delicate contrast.

UD Naked 2 Pallette used on eyes and Revlon Nude Attitude lipstick on the lips with Revlon Peach Petal lipgloss over the top.

My nails are painted with inspiration from Danielle from A Blog From Blackpool.
See her Simple Spring Nail Art post HERE.

Finally my boots are a DIY project I did years ago. The boots are from Office originally but I bought them for cheaps off ebay and added the studs myself.

Hope you're all having a lovely, lazy Sunday!

Dani's Spring Nail Art!

Hi girls!
I recently saw Danielle (Ablogfromblackpool) post her cute Simple Spring Nail Art on her blog and thought it was lovely so I gave it a go!
Go visit her blog, she has loads of fab nail art tutorials as well as other interesting posts!

I simply used two coats of Barry M's Turquoise and dotted white and yellow to make the daisies with my cheapy ebay dotting tool. Easy peasy!

Happy Spring everyone!

March Favourites

Here's some of the products I've been enjoying this month!

Batiste Dry Shampoo with a hint of colour. Dark and deep brown. - I will definitely be repurchasing this product over the original Batiste dry shampoo purely because the hint of colour added is so amazing. Because I have dark hair, the original formula tended to make my hair look talcy and even more dirty, whereas this formula makes my hair full of volume and rids it of greasy roots. Love it!

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in waterproof. - The only mascara that will hold a curl in my lashes. Pain in the arse to remove but absolutely great as a base for my Benefit Bad Gal Lash mascara.

Urban Decay Primer Potion in new packaging. - I ran out of my old primer potion recently and decided to re purchase in the new packaging. I absolutely love it. Same old, fantastic product in a fantastic new tube. No waste and no ugly, un-hygienic applicator. Brill.

Stella by Stella McCartney ADP. - Worn this perfume all month and loved it. Still wish I had my favourite Calvin Klein Euphoria but this one is a worthy second place favourite.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Triple Boost Serum. - Smells lovely, evens out skin tone, moisturises and hydrates.

Oilatum Natural Repair moisturiser. - A lovely moisturiser for after your cleansing routine and before your makeup. Not too oily and doesn't sit on your skin.

Samantha Chapman Real Techniques Buffing Brush and Powder Brush. - Not a lot I can say to praise these brushes enough. Absolutely brilliant!

O.O.T.D. 30/03/12 & Zara jacket

Today I had to get up early and take my car into the garage again to get my replacement heater fitted (which was a nightmare as to get to the garage, the only way to go is past a petrol station which was super duper, duper busy because of every bloody person panic buying petrol!)

I wanted to be comfortable so I just threw on the following outfit and I actually really, really love it! Here's what I wore:

Safari khaki jacket with leather sleeves is from Zara and is my new favourite coat for the spring. You can purchase it HERE as it is still in the current Zara collection.

I have been looking for a simple white, low cut, racer back tank for the past...forever. I've FINALLY found the perfect one. Perfect length, not too seethrough, perfect shape. You can get them from New Look and they cost £4.99 - available in black and white. I just looked online though and they seem to be selling out fast, there are only limited sizes left online.

The basic hoodie underneath is by Henry Holland from Debenhams ages ago in the sale. I wore it underneath as the sun has now disappeared and it's gone back to being freezing cold!

Bag is the Rocco by Alexander Wang.
Leggings are plain black, simple leggings by Topshop.

Shoes are from Zara, again! Can't get enough of these at the moment! So comfy. Available HERE.

Have a lovely day, people!

A little trip to the seaside!

The weather has been lovely where I am this week so the boyf and I decided to make the most of the sunshine and have a little stroll down the beach.

It was lovely and warm, I had a bandeau top and shorts on and didn't even need to wear my cardi!

It's a "family thing" that whenever we're on a beach with pebbles on we always have a look to see how many faces we can see looking back at us. We like to call them Smiley Stones and we have a little collection in our house, which I'll have to show you some time...  Anyway, here are the little lookers we spotted on our walk across the beach.

This guy below nearly got taken home with me but he was sat next to a sad looking stone so I decided to leave him there so he could cheer his friend up.

This guy, however, came home with me...

Along with this little one!

We also saw some massive nuts.
;)
(I'm aware they're actually bolts!)

I braved the quick sand to do a bit of skimming stones. Very unsuccessfully.

I also got mud all over my lovely shoes.

But I had fish and chips to make up for it! D was very good and had a healthy ham salad sandwich. I was just a fatty and ate all of this.

We then gambled our savings away in the arcade...

...and I had a little boogie to Steps and Cotton Eye Joe.

Hope you're all enjoying the sun, if you have any!
Everything I'm wearing is from Topshop ages ago apart from the shorts which are from ebay.

O.O.T.D. 25/03/12 for sunny days!

Here's what I wore today (well, this morning at least! I'm sat in my pyjamas again now!) It's a lovely Spring day here with the temperature at 17 degrees at the moment so I'm currently sat in the garden watching the cats sunbathe. I just dropped boyf off at work, poor him, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to have a nice relax in the sunshine.

Frilly polka dot dress is from the Charity Shop but originally from Next.
Belt is from Primark

I  have nude tights on (because my legs are pasty pasty!) from M&S.
Bag is by Alexander Wang.

I dyed my hair back brown by the way, did you guys notice! Ombre didn't last long haha, I hated it!

Skull studded pumps are from Zara.

Pearl earring from Dorothy Perkins.
Cross earring from Topshop.
Skull 'toe'/knuckle ring from Topshop as well.
Tragus piercing seems to be healing well, as does the top inner helix, but my first inner helix (done in November!) is still playing up! Can't wait to get the rings out and get some little studs in instead. Just a waiting game, I guess!

I'm wearing Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation, applied with a Real Techniques buffing brush (amaze!)
And I just have a mixture of eyeshadow colours on from the Urban Decay Naked 2 Pallette.

See you soon, guys!

O.O.T.D. 24/03/12 and a statement jacket.

Outift of the day for a wander around town.
Nothing too special, it was nice and warm so thought I'd go for a quick walk before meeting the boyf from work. I wanted to wear something simple and confortable so I opted for plain black outfit with a statement jacket. Hope you like it, and it perhaps gives you some ideas!

Bag, as usual, is by Alexander Wang.

Black basic tshirt from Dorothy Perkins.
Black skinny jeans from Topshop.

Studded cream leather jacket from Topshop.

Skull studded pumps from Zara. (Current season)

See you soon, ladies! Hope you're all having as lovely weather as I am over here!
