Product Rave: Benefit "They're Real" Mascara

Hello girls!

I recently purchased a new mascara which I saw on offer in Boots (full size and travel size for £18ish, if I recall.)

It's the Benefit - They're Real mascara which has had rave reviews ever since it first came out... and mine's no different.

Before I start chatting about it, here's a picture with one eye makeup free and the other with one coat of They're Real.

And here's with one coat on the eye on the left hand side of your screen and two coats on the eye on the right.

Wow.

I've been using Benefit's Bad Gal Lash mascara for years but wanted to see what all the hype was about with They're Real - and I can see.

The product is super black, extremely lengthening and offers great volume.

It says on the box that 94% saw dramatic length and volume: Double Check!
90% saw base to tip curl: not so check, but I've only ever found one mascara that can hold a curl in my lashes, never mind create one. With my poker straight lashes, this formulation is slightly too wet/has a longer drying time than the Bad Gal Lash, but still offers amazing results if I hold my lashes in a curl with my fingers when they're drying.
94% saw visible lift: Same as above. Once the mascara has dried, the curl stays without a problem.
100% saw long wearing results: Check! This mascara lasted all day, no problems at all with flaking or running.

Even my other half noticed that my lashes were "nicely separated" (I've taught him well!) compared to when I use my regular mascara, Bad Gal Lash.

Although this mascara is amazing, if you want thick lashes with a mascara that's slightly drier in formulation, I'd definitely recommend trying out the Bad Gal.
It hasn't overtaken Bad Gal in the mascara stakes (still my ultimate fave!) but it's definitely a close second place.
You can see yourself from the results why I like it, black, thick, lengthened lashes. The only downside for me is the formulation being too wet, leading to the curl in my lashes having time to drop flat before it dries - but I have the straightest eyelashes ever and hair that does not curl, so you may be fine!

So glad I tried it out anyway! If you're on the look out for a new mascara, I'd definitely recommend trying Benefit.

Have any of you tried Benefit mascaras before? What do you all think of them?

O.O.T.D - Just call me Gallagher!

Hi guys, sorry for the lack of posts in the past two weeks! I've been really busy at work and I'm still currently battling lady flu. Boo! *sniffle*

Thought I'd get out in the fresh air today to try and clear my pipes a bit, so I ventured into town to have a wander round Primark in an attempt to find some work clothes. Whatever possessed me to go to Primark on a sunny Saturday afternoon, I'll never know...but never again! I didn't get anything for work other than black socks - exciting - but I did pick up a cute sheer polka dot shirt with a studded collar.

Anyway, here's a few pics of what I wore today.

Parka - River Island

Black jersey dress - H&M

Drop hem tshirt - Zara

Bag - Alexander Wang

Watch - Michael Kors MK5137

Boots - Pistol by Acne

Sunglasses - Ray Ban 3447

Lipstick - Revlon ColourStay Ultimate Lip Colour in Top Tomato

Hope you're all well.
See you all soon!

Jersey dress from H&M.

Scarf from Dorothy Perkins.
Hat with bobble ears from Topshop.
Alexander Wang Rocco bag.

I made a quick video too, featuring some lovely singing by a friend of mine! Please check out his band, Make Your Mark on youtube!

Ciao for now!

O.O.T.D ft Disco Pants and Hellraisers

So today I went on a tour of Blackpool's Funny Girls. It used to be the ODEON many years ago...

It was then purchased by an entrepreneur and businessman called Basil Newby and made into the famous transvestite show bar, Funny Girls!

The building kept a lot of its original Art Deco features. We weren't allowed to film in the club but I took a picture in the main entrance hallway. If you look closely on the stage behind me there's one of the dancers warming up for the show this evening - doing a squat of some sort!

Info on what I wore is below.
You can view in HD, too!

Disco Pants from American Apparel
Hellraiser Spiked Loafers by UNIF
Fashion Will Eat Itself T-shirt from Yu&Me
Camo Jacket from the Charity Shop
Grey Hoodie from Topshop
Bobble Hat from Topshop
Michael Kors MK5137 Watch
Classic 11" Satchel from The Cambridge Satchel Company

Hope you like it!
Ps. Think I may have made a decision on the colour of my Birthday Satchel! Eeeek!

Help! What colour should I get?

Hi everyone! I need your help. It's my birthday in a couple of  months and I've been perusing for birthday presents for myself, as you do. I think I want another Cambridge Satchel because I love the design and wear my others a lot, but I can't for the life of me choose a colour.

I've narrowed it down to 4 I think. Fluorescent Orange, Fluorescent Green, Fluorescent Yellow or Deep Red. PLEASE HELP ME!

(Edit: Just found a blue one, oh god!)

Which colour do you like the best?

Khaki Jacket with Leather Sleeves!

Hi guys,
As you've probably seen in previous outfit posts of mine, I own the Zara Safari Jacket with Leather Sleeves which is now sold out.

HOWEVER! I've recently been seeing (much to my annoyance!) plenty of replicas on the Highstreet/online! So if you liked the Zara version but didn't quite manage to get your hands on it, fear not. Here are a few places you can get some dupes!

PRIMARK - £25

I'm very unimpressed as they're all cheaper than what I paid for my Zara one...buttttttt it always seems to happen! Now you can all get your hands on one for cheap as chips!
