What I got for Christmas!

Hi guys, I wanted to share with you a few bits I got for Christmas! I love reading these types of posts, so thought I'd do my own.

Firstly, look at this amazing blankie. My mum made it for me. Yes, she crocheted it with her own fair hands! How snuggly. :)

Next, as you saw in my last post, are these bad boys. They are the Dr Marten Spike boot and they're absolutely amazing. Painful, but amazing.

Another item you've seen already is this bag. I featured it in my last post, too.

From my boyfriend I got these babies. They're the Dr Martens Drench boot and they're actually wellington boots! So good for walking to work in when it's raining! These ones are much comfier than the Spikes.

From my boyfriend's mum I got the mini version of my favourite perfume. I recently repurchased the large size for myself because I adore the smell and I hadn't owned it for quite a while. The small version is ideal for putting in my handbag whilst the large bottle sits on my bedside table.

It's Euphoria by Calvin Klein. Go smell it if you haven't already...it's divine.

A little something for myself was this tin of lipsmackers. I am a lip balm obsessive and thought these would come in handy. I've not tried them all yet, but I love the Sprite.

From my friend I got the most awesome socks in the whole entire world... LOOK! Puddy tats!

For a couple of my friends I bought the new Naked palette by Urban Decay. It's called the NAKED BASICS and features six matte shades. I obviously had to pick one up for myself as the Naked palettes are my most favourite eyeshadows ever.

My lovely friend got me a Bronzer from MAC. The perfect gift because I'd literally JUST used up the last drops of my Nars Laguna bronzer and have been wanting to try this one out for absolutely ages. It's in the colour Matte Bronze.

From the same friend who got me the awesome socks, I also received an equally awesome scarf. SKULL EVERYTHING!!! She got both the scarf and socks from Topshop, if you're interested!

And finally, I got this gorgeous midi skirt from Topshop. I've been wanting something Galaxy print for evvver and saw this at my local Topshop on the 'Last Chance To Buy' rail. I've yet to wear it as I've been at work constantly, but I can't wait to. Not sure what to pair it with yet but I'll be sure to do an outfit post soon.

And that's everything pretty much, aside from a few bits and bobs and an enormous amount of chocolate and sweets.

So grateful for all of my gifts, thank you to you if you're reading this!

If you've done a post like this showing what you received for Christmas, leave a link in the comments. I'd love to have a sneaky peek!

OOTD - Spike Dr Martens & Horror Tshirt

Hi guys,
Here's what I wore today featuring a couple of bits that I got for Christmas.

I'm wearing Up The Amp lipstick and Smut eyeshadow both by MAC.

The leather jacket I've got on is from River Island originally, but I snapped it up for £5 at a carboot sale!
Underneath it, because it's freezing, I have my green hoody on from Primark men's section.

My jeans are the Cheap Monday Second Skin black skinny jeans.

I saw this tshirt in Topshop around Halloween and was so close to buying it, but at £18 I left it because I didn't know how much I'd wear it. So when I nipped in on Boxing Day to check out the sale and saw it (the last one) for a tenner I snapped it up.

I actually love it even though a lot of you, including the bf and probably the mother, will think it's awful!

HORRORRRRRR!!

One gift (To Me, From Me x) I got for Christmas was this amazing bag. It's a simple leather drawstring bag by Yvonne Kone and it's BEAUTIFUL.

So nice to be able to distribute weight evenly on my shoulders!

Now are you ready for this? My most favourite Christmas present ever are these little beauties....

They are the Spike Dr Martens boots and they are the most uncomfortable things I've ever put on my feet, but also the most beautiful. You can see in a couple of pictures that I'm wearing some trendy slipper socks with them in attempts to break them in. I will bear the pain and succeed because...just LOOK at them!!!

And that's it for now.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are planning your New Year's resolutions. I've been thinking about mine. May post them soon, so you can all shout at me if I fail!

Lots of love,
Neeny

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, everyone.
I hope you all had a wonderful day; ate too much, drank too much and opened too many presents.

I spent the morning helping prepare and cook Christmas Dinner and then for the remainder of the day (and currently still in the same position as we speak) I've been here...

Ahh, bliss.
Season's Greetings to all of my followers. I wish you all well for the New Year.

Love Neeny,

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Vs Superdrug Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser

I've been using Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser for a few years and I can't knock it at all. It takes off all makeup with ease and leaves your skin feeling clean and smooth. I can't knock it...except for the price. At £14.25 for 100ml and two cloths, the cost adds up!

A couple of months ago, I came across the Superdrug's own version of a Hot Cloth Cleanser - Naturally Radiant - which at £5.99 for 150ml and one cloth, is a fraction of the price of the Liz Earle C&P. (I actually got mine for £2.99 introductory offer which has now finished, but it is currently on Buy One Get One Half Price)

The products come in similar squeezy packaging (note: you can get Liz Earle in a hard tube as well) and the muslin cloths are very similar. The Superdrug product is a little thinner, but does the same job.

Here is my makeup after my Christmas do. I thought this would be a good a time as any to show you how well these products both work as I was wearing a ton of makeup.

Cue some pouty pictures of me trying to get the same face every time!

I used Liz Earle C&P on the right hand side and Superdrug NR on the left hand side.
Notice how well each product works.

With the Liz Earle, you rub the product directly on to dry skin and rub over your makeup to break down.

With the Superdrug product, you need to wet your face slightly before rubbing the product in.

In the picture below you can see how well about 20 seconds of gentle rubbing breaks down the eye makeup.

Looks gross, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

I then dipped the muslin cloth in hot water, squeezed it out and wiped the product from my face.

Normally, with every day makeup, this one step is enough and all of my makeup is removed. However, since I was wearing loads of dark eye makeup, I decided to repeat the process once more to make sure everything was removed.

Tadaaa! I then just washed my face with soap and water to get rid of any residue and that's it. All traces of makeup removed within a couple of minutes.

Both products work pretty much EXACTLY the same. The only difference is the smell. I have to admit that I'm not a massive fan of the Superdrug smell which is Kiwi, Mulberry and Cocoa Butter. For the difference in price, though, I'd rather go without the Eucalyptus and Chamomile smell of the Liz Earle.

As much as I love my Liz Earle product, I can safely say that I would prefer to buy a product which is cheaper than half the price, that does the same job. In fact, taking advantage of the £2.99 introductory offer, I actually purchased three tubes of the Superdrug stuff, so I'm set for a while.

If you're a Liz Earle C&P addict like I used to be and want to save some money, I'd definitely try out this product. And if you haven't used either before and want an amazing makeup remover, get yourself down to Superdrug ASAP!

Hope this helped some of you in need of a new product!
See you soon,
N

OOTN - Christmas Party

Here's what I wore to my work Christmas Party. Photo overload on this post, hope you don't mind!

We went to a local hotel for a Christmas dinner and a boogie.
I tried my first Jagerbomb and danced the night away, pretty much sweating off about 4 stone in the process as it was SO hot inside the venue.

The dress I wore is from Karen Millen and is absolutely stunning, even if I say so myself. I adore it, seriously. This is going to be in my wardrobe forever.

I just have simple black tights on from Primark as I thought it would be cold... and because my legs are so pasty that I may blind someone if they were to catch a glimpse.

I added my leather jacket from River Island to keep me warm on the way to and from the party.

I wanted to show you a close up of the detail on the dress. How lovely is that!?

Drooling.

Also, I took my beautiful boots on their first airing. I bought these from Zara especially to go with the dress even though it may have been a bit black and gold overload...

They ended up being pretty comfortable, but the zips kept sliding down slightly. Butttt, I don't care because I think they're gorgeous. I'll definitely be wearing them again over the festive period.

The bag I chose/the only small black bag I have with gold hardware on it, is this clutch from Zara. Again, black and gold overload but hey, it's CHRISTMAS!

For my makeup I went super smokey. I wore Satin Taupe by MAC on the lid and Creep by Urban Decay (in the Naked 1 Palette) in the outer corners.
I also stuck on some Ardel Demi Wispies false eyelashes.
The lipstick I'm wearing is Top Tomato Ultimate Colourstay.

I had a quick squeeze of Pudding before I went.

Hope you all are enjoying the festivities. Can't believe it's nearly Christmas!

See you soon!

Christmas Work Do!

It was my work do tonight. It's now 1.30am and I'm home and tucked up in bed because I have a monster 12 hour shift tomorrow. Gah!

I'll do an outfit post tomorrow/sometime this week.
For now, here's a pic of me and my fave before I headed out.

Merry Christmas, everyone.
