OOTD WIWT - Fluoro Satchel and Nike Free Run - 14 April 2013

Here's what I wore today. Can't believe I stood in the pouring rain to take pictures before I went out. Dedication/stupidity, I'm not quite sure?

American Apparel Easy Jean

Dorothy Perkins Faux Leather Jacket

Warehouse Knit Snood
Topshop Knit Jumper

Cambridge Satchel Company Fluoro Yellow 13" Satchel

Nike iD Free Run 2 Trainers (oh my, SO comfortable!)

I nipped into town to try and find a birthday present for a friend. Unsuccessful on the present front, however, I walked past this little beauty in River Island and fell in love.

It comes up a little large if you want to wear it on your waist like I want to. I had to down a size to a size 6?!!? Never in this world am I a size 6, so I would definitely recommend trying on or sizing down if you decide to buy online.

Side note: How flattering are River Island mirrors? Or is it just me? I swear they have some distortion on them to make you look tall and skinny - and the lighting makes you look tanned as feuuuk. Maybe it's just my local one, but no other mirrors in town reflect the same image back to me as the River Island ones haha!

Brock Bottom Valley

Some photos from our trip to Brock Bottom in Claughton.

The drive in was scary...

We found a fallen tree which had hundreds of coins hammered into it by various passer-bys.

So we decided to add our own.

I'm wearing a Penfield coat, Primark hoody and tshirt, Cheap Monday jeans, Dr Martens boots and Topshop backpack.

Found a lone Buttercup so took it on the walk with us.

D also spotted a Rope Swing and I had a go...

...and absolutely crapped myself.

D was a pro!

We then sat down and had a little picnic before heading home.

Lovely day, lovely walk.

How to: Cadbury's Creme Egg Chocolate Brownie Recipe

I can't believe it's April already! I intended to get this recipe up for before Easter, but I've only just managed to put this post together today. So, if you've got some leftover Cadburys Creme Eggs floating around your house from Easter, you should definitely give this recipe a try!

This is not one for the faint hearted!

You will need:

Cadbury's Creme Eggs - mini or regular size, both work just fine. I'm using mini ones in this tutorial.
100g of brown sugar.
250g bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk.
One egg.
125g of room temperature butter.
120g of self raising flour.
1/2tsp of baking powder.

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Mix together the butter and brown sugar until smooth.

Whilst you are doing this, melt your chocolate in the microwave. Put in for 30 seconds at a time and stir in between. It will only take around 1 minute or less to melt.

Add one egg and the chocolate into the mix.

Mix together again.

Add the flour and the baking powder.

Mix thoroughly.

Line an oven proof dish/baking tray with greaseproof paper (make sure you grease the greaseproof paper - I wasn't aware you had to and it all stuck to the paper the first time I made the brownies!!)
My dish is about 10x10inches.

Spread the mixture evenly into the dish.

Push the Cadbury's Creme Eggs into the mixture.

Into your preheated oven, put the mixture onto the middle shelf and bake for 30 minutes.

Wait for the brownies to cool (or as long as you can bear) before cutting into blocks.

Mine turned out quite sticky and hard to cut into definite chunks, but to be honest no one seemed to mind!

Yum yum.

Enjoy with ice-cream or on their own.

Let me know if you try it out!
