Quick review: Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs

Hello everyone!

Since the weather in N/W England has been lovely this past few days for the first time in months, the dreaded idea of getting the pasty legs out has arisen.

So, I decided to nip down to my local Boots and pick up the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs Water Resistant Leg Makeup to boost my milky pins.
I've heard good reviews about this product so picked up three different shades because they were on 3 for 2 in Boots. They are £10.29 each in Boots (on 3 for 2 with other tanners as well) and I also saw them in Superdrug for £9.99.

I got home and couldn't wait to test one out so I decided to try the lightest shade that I picked up which is MEDIUM GLOW. There is one or two shades lighter than this but I wanted bronzed legs so decided to pick this one up as well as two darker shades called TAN GLOW and DEEP GLOW.

I thought I'd start with the lightest just for a practice run to see how my legs turned out!

Here's what they looked like before in all their milky glory.

After applying product to one leg I saw a difference straight away, as you can see in the picture below. The leg on the left has no product on and the leg on the right has the tanner applied.

Definitely added some colour and evened out the skin tone.

Boo boo be doop!

I went on to apply the product to the other leg.

This is finished result in natural lighting in my bathroom.

And this is the result out in the blazing sunshine. A lot of people have complained of the glitteriness of the product but I don't seem to see it as too sparkly at all. There is a glisten and there are definitely glitter particles but I wouldn't say they are overbearing.

What I would say though, in my hastiness to apply the product, I didn't prep my skin at all. The product collected in the shaving bumps I have from two day old shaving. I think a good exfoliate and moisturise before applying the product would do wonders. I will try it out tomorrow when I have a scrub in the shower and will see if it applies any better.

Overall I'm very pleased with this product. I will also write back about longevity and water resistance as I haven't checked that out yet. I think I may try a darker colour tomorrow too, just to go all out there!

If you have any questions let me know and I will try and answer them!
See you soon

  2. I saw this in tesco on friday for around £6.50, I'm definitely getting it now! I thought it would be really streak but it looks so flawless! Do you reckon it would work on chest/arms/back?

    1. Definitely not. It's still on now after lounging about all day and going for a bike ride. Mad that I got it at Boots for twice the price though!

  5. I have pretty pale legs too and this same Medium glow gave me an orange cast... I want to have some sort of tan for my cousin's upcoming wedding. Am I just not applying it right? I shook the can and sprayed it into my hands and applied.
