I need your guys opinions! I have an assessment day for a retail management scheme in the coming months and I'm struggling on what to wear. I bought a shirt from Topshop the other week and absolutely love it, so would definitely like to wear it. I've put together this outfit and was wondering if you think it's appropriate for an interview, baring in mind that it's with one of the highstreet's biggest companies and I'm guessing that fashion consciousness will be pretty important.
Are leggings appropriate? The shirt does cover all the lady bits and bottom, so I think it's quite conservative. I struggle finding smart trousers that fit, so any suggestions on where sell well fitting pants would be appreciated!
Also, just ordered my new satchel! (Clearly shopping ban has gone completely out of the window!) But how exciting, a lovely yellow addition to my wardrobe. :)
I think that leggings are fine as long as they are good quality ones we are talking about....not they type that look slightly see through! x
ReplyDeleteNo, they're very, very thick and none see through!
DeleteI agree with Danielle's comment above, fine as long as they don't look cheap. I'd probably swap the shoes for either some edgy yet comfy heels or some brogues. Love the shirt and the satchel is amazing!

Yeah, comfort is the ultimate thing as I will be traveling for 3 hours and then have a 5/6 hour day ahead of me! x
DeleteI was a recruiter for a massive company at one point and leggings were seen as entirely inappropriate, so I wouldn't wear them, but maybe swap them for tights and a smart skirt? Good luck! x
ReplyDeleteYess, idealy I would like some smart pants or a smart skirt and tights but I'm having loads of trouble finding something that fits my shape! I have a small waist compared to my hips so anything that I find is either too tight around the bum and fine around the waist or the other way round!
DeleteThanks you! x
Id say leggings are fine, I agree! haha the good quality ones, not the ones where you can see pretty much everything! :)
