I'm alive!

Hi guys.
I'm sorry I've been a bit MIA. I've not been feeling myself for a while and didn't really feel like doing anything - let alone blogging.
I'm just checking in to let you know I'm still alive...if there's anyone still here that is!
I've started to feel a little more human the past couple of days so actually put some effort into my makeup and outfit, only to be rained on in the downpour of rain whilst I was out buying fitness stuff.
I've decided to try and get myself into shape and keep my body and mind active. I went out and bought Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred fitness DVD, a yoga mat, some hand weights and gym clothes the other day so now I HAVE to do some exercise!
Has anybody tried Spinning? I really fancy trying it but fear I may die a fast, stationary-bicycle related death.

Anyway, I tried Tanya Burr's new makeup tutorial which you can see HERE. I think it turned out really nice and made my tired skin look a bit healthier.
I used Nars Sheer Glow foundation (FINALLY got my hands on some, ugghh love it!), Illamasqua cream blush in Brazen and YSL Touche Eclat to brighten around the eyes.

I hope you're all well.
Thank you for sticking around if you're reading this!

Love, Neeny x

Ps.
Please keep your fingers crossed for me. If I get enough good luck, I may have some amazing news to share soon.

Every day makeup!

My every day makeup featuring Sloane's Plum (330) lipstick by Rimmel.

So I've spent a good portion of the afternoon filming an every day makeup routine with my new camera to test it out and I come to upload it onto my computer and it's not there. I cannot work out where on earth the file is because it's definitely on my camera as I can watch it on playback.
Oh well! The pictures worked anyway, so here's a few snaps.

Strike a pose!

Face:
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation in shade 52.
Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer in shade 52.
MAC Blusher in Harmony used as contour.
MAC Bronzing Powder in Matte Bronze.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle as highlight.
Nars Blusher in Orgasm.
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Plus as a setting powder.

Eyes:
Sin, Naked, Smog and Darkhorse eyeshadows from the Urban Decay Naked Palette.
Clinique Brush On Cream Liner in the shade True Black.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place pencil liner in the shade Onyx 01.
Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof, Benefit Bad Gal Lash and Benefit They're Real mascaras, layered.
MAC Fix + used with MAC eyeshadows in Charcoal Brown and Brun for filling in my eyebrows.

And on my lips as mentioned previously is Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in the shade Sloane's Plum which I recently picked up in a little Boots haul.

On my nails I have Shellac Black Pool with a coat of Model's Own Ibiza Mix underneath the setting top coat. I'm testing if I can use Shellac topcoat with my regular nail polish, if so I have so many options to choose from now without spending hella loads on the proper Shellac colours, YAY!
I also pointed my nails slightly a la Danielle in her latest nail art. It feels so weird to me but I wanted to try it out. I think it looks okay?! I don't know?!

Hope you're all well.
Sorry I've not posted much good content recently. I have a few days off work in the next couple of weeks so hopefully I will get some outfit posts up etc.

Lots of love,

Testing, testing!

So I got myself a new baby.
You might've seen on instagram (neenyh) that I recently sold my ipad and used the money to purchase a new camera, yay!

I haven't really had time to play around with it yet but thought I'd have a poke around before I head out for dinner. I actually have NO clue how to use it.

I did, however, find the High Contrast B&W setting...Nice one! No editing needed, that will save a bit of time!

Face spam in 3, 2, 1...

I will hopefully figure out how to use the basic functions soon as I couldn't for the life of me work out how to do self timer to take an outfit shot for tonight...grumble grumble!

Anyway, hurray for good quality photos (maybe)!

OOTD - Spike Dr Martens & Horror Tshirt

Hi guys,
Here's what I wore today featuring a couple of bits that I got for Christmas.

I'm wearing Up The Amp lipstick and Smut eyeshadow both by MAC.

The leather jacket I've got on is from River Island originally, but I snapped it up for £5 at a carboot sale!
Underneath it, because it's freezing, I have my green hoody on from Primark men's section.

My jeans are the Cheap Monday Second Skin black skinny jeans.

I saw this tshirt in Topshop around Halloween and was so close to buying it, but at £18 I left it because I didn't know how much I'd wear it. So when I nipped in on Boxing Day to check out the sale and saw it (the last one) for a tenner I snapped it up.

I actually love it even though a lot of you, including the bf and probably the mother, will think it's awful!

HORRORRRRRR!!

One gift (To Me, From Me x) I got for Christmas was this amazing bag. It's a simple leather drawstring bag by Yvonne Kone and it's BEAUTIFUL.

So nice to be able to distribute weight evenly on my shoulders!

Now are you ready for this? My most favourite Christmas present ever are these little beauties....

They are the Spike Dr Martens boots and they are the most uncomfortable things I've ever put on my feet, but also the most beautiful. You can see in a couple of pictures that I'm wearing some trendy slipper socks with them in attempts to break them in. I will bear the pain and succeed because...just LOOK at them!!!

And that's it for now.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are planning your New Year's resolutions. I've been thinking about mine. May post them soon, so you can all shout at me if I fail!

Lots of love,
Neeny

OOTN - Christmas Party

Here's what I wore to my work Christmas Party. Photo overload on this post, hope you don't mind!

We went to a local hotel for a Christmas dinner and a boogie.
I tried my first Jagerbomb and danced the night away, pretty much sweating off about 4 stone in the process as it was SO hot inside the venue.

The dress I wore is from Karen Millen and is absolutely stunning, even if I say so myself. I adore it, seriously. This is going to be in my wardrobe forever.

I just have simple black tights on from Primark as I thought it would be cold... and because my legs are so pasty that I may blind someone if they were to catch a glimpse.

I added my leather jacket from River Island to keep me warm on the way to and from the party.

I wanted to show you a close up of the detail on the dress. How lovely is that!?

Drooling.

Also, I took my beautiful boots on their first airing. I bought these from Zara especially to go with the dress even though it may have been a bit black and gold overload...

They ended up being pretty comfortable, but the zips kept sliding down slightly. Butttt, I don't care because I think they're gorgeous. I'll definitely be wearing them again over the festive period.

The bag I chose/the only small black bag I have with gold hardware on it, is this clutch from Zara. Again, black and gold overload but hey, it's CHRISTMAS!

For my makeup I went super smokey. I wore Satin Taupe by MAC on the lid and Creep by Urban Decay (in the Naked 1 Palette) in the outer corners.
I also stuck on some Ardel Demi Wispies false eyelashes.
The lipstick I'm wearing is Top Tomato Ultimate Colourstay.

I had a quick squeeze of Pudding before I went.

Hope you all are enjoying the festivities. Can't believe it's nearly Christmas!

See you soon!

OOTD - Acne, Topshop and Cambridge Satchel Company

I went Christmas shopping to get some little bits for friends and family. Town was heaving, it was freezing and I was unsuccessful on deciding what to get for my besto.
Other than that, though, my trip was lovely as I got complimented on my new coat about three times by passing strangers - always nice! :)

Boyfriend style coat with detachable fur collar from Topshop.

Black slouchy top from Topshop.
Grey bodycon skirt from Warehouse.

Yellow Classic 14"Satchel from the Cambridge Satchel Company.

Black tights from Primark.
Acne Pistol boots.

Links of London Skull friendship bracelet.
Michael Kors MK5128 Rose Gold Chronograph watch.
Studded bracelet by Sam Ubhi.

Double finger 'knuckle duster' ring from Urban Outfitters.
Model's Own Nude Beige nailvarnish. (fave)

Revlon Ultimate Colourstay Lip colour in Top Tomato (fave, also!)

Hope you're doing well with your Christmas shopping. Are you all a bit more organised than me? I hope so!

OOTD - Preston and Barton Grange

The other half and I went for a little trip to Preston yesterday. Here's what went down!

Zoom zoom!

We visited Barton Grange Garden Centre where I saw Santa!

And the world's most expensive Christmas trees...

This little baby was £15! I felt like Phoebe from Friends and wanted to take it home because it was so cute but not for that price!

If you're anywhere near Barton/Preston, I'd definitely recommend going to have a little wander round the Garden Centre. It has so many pretty things over Christmas.

We then went on to Preston for a little bit of Christmas shopping.

Didn't wanna go down that alley...

Teehee!

This is what I wore, anyway...

Tshirt from Topshop.
Trousers from Topshop.
Boots from Ash.

Bowler hat from River Island.
Coat with fur collar from Topshop.
Bag from Cambridge Satchel Company.

Then we got stuck in traffic and took some silly photos.

Then we put up our Christmas Trees. The end.
:)
